I maintain several websites on ixwebhosting and have been a customer for several years now. IX is my 3rd hosting vendor in the last 12 years. They have been the most stable. If you are a raw beginner there will be slight frustrations but they really do respond to open tickets for help (only wish they would specify what they changed to make something operational so that I could learn immediately instead of having to figure it out). Uptime has been good. Occasionally they change my ftp path when they shift servers and I have to update my ftp engine that stores all this but that's not at all frequent.
I would like to see them offer dedicated servers as a hosting option.

I have been with many web hosting companies and I am totally impressed with IX. The tech support is very good, phone support is just OK, but the online help ticket system they have in place is AWESOME. All of my online ticket requests have been responded to in under 30 minutes. I put in an email suggestion to the president of the company, and within 5 minutes I received a phone call from the president's representative to discuss my suggestion. Only down side right now is they are not a full registar of domain names so you can't perform a complete transfer to IX,(that was my suggestion). The representative stated that they are in the process of becoming a full domain registar. I will be staying with IX and enjoying the customer service, great prices, and loads of storage and bandwidth. Great control panel software. Well worth the wait for the full domain registar service in the future. AWESOME hosting company, best in class right now.

This host is fast, reliable, and reasonable with their prices. I got 5000 emails, lots of space and bandwidth, and lots of features. The only time they were down, they sent an email saying why it was down (hardware malfunction, shut down the server to prevent data loss I think they said) and were very polite in the email. I would love to work with this host on all my projects now and in the future.
